Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has released its first merit list for undergraduate and Certificate of Proficiency courses for the 2026-27 academic year. How to Check the JNU First Merit List 2026
Candidates can access their admission status by following these steps:
- Visit the JNU admission portal at jnuee.jnu.ac.in .
- Locate and select the link for the "Result of First Merit List 2026".
- Enter your CUET Application Number and password or Date of Birth.
- Click "Search/Login" to access your dashboard.
- View your selection status, assigned course/language, and category rank.
Next Steps After Merit List Confirmation
Candidates who are selected must complete the seat blocking process online. This involves registration and payment of a seat booking fee by the deadline.
Upon successful payment, an enrolment slip will be issued. Following this, candidates must report to their allocated School/Centre at the JNU campus in New Delhi. Physical document verification is mandatory and scheduled from August 17 to August 20, 2026.
Candidates not selected in the first list should monitor the JNU website. The second merit list is expected on August 12, 2026. If seats remain vacant after the second list, a third and final list will be published on September 3, 2026, with admissions closing on September 15, 2026.
