The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has changed the exam dates for some Class 10 subjects. These changes are for the Annual/Regular, 2025 Oct-Nov session exams. The main reason for this revision is the upcoming by-elections in the Budgam and Nagrota Assembly areas, scheduled for November 11, 2025 .
Earlier, the Class 10 exams for the Kashmir division started on November 3, 2025 . On this day, more than 90,000 students appeared for their first exam. Students who have exams in the coming days need to check the new timetable carefully to avoid any confusion.

The revised schedule shows specific changes for several important subjects. Initially, some exams were planned for dates close to the by-elections. The board has adjusted these to ensure smooth conduct of both the elections and the student exams.
For example, exams for Vocational Subjects , which cover many different skills like Health Care and IT, will now be held on November 6, 2025 . The important Science paper has been rescheduled to November 13, 2025 . This gives students a few extra days to prepare after the initial exam start.
Other key subjects have also seen date changes. The Urdu / Hindi exam is now scheduled for November 17, 2025 . Students taking Computer Science will sit their exam on November 19, 2025 . The English exam, which is a major paper for most students, will take place on November 20, 2025 . Home Science is set for November 23, 2025 .
The dates for optional subjects like Arabic, Kashmiri, Dogri, Bhoti, Punjabi, Urdu, Hindi, Persian, and Sanskrit have been set for November 24, 2025 . The Music exam will be on November 25, 2025 . The Social Science exam will be held on November 26, 2025 . Finally, the Class 10 exams for this session will finish with Painting / Art and Drawing on November 27, 2025 .
