The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) will postpone the bi-annual examinations for Classes 10 and 11 intended to commence on August 18, 2025 due to a cloudburst and bad weather in areas of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, specifically Kathua.
An official notification has stated that fresh dates for the exams will be published shortly. "Fresh date will be notified separately. All centre superintendents and jurisdictional SHOs may ensure that this important notice has led to the notification of the postponement of the examination to students," the Board said.
Authorities said the postponement was entirely in the best interest of students, especially in light of the bad weather. The Board directed sub- and branch officers to share the news through WhatsApp groups and on communication channels the Board has, to ensure that student, parents, and other stakeholders are informed as quickly as possible.
The students should keep a close eye on official communications as the new JKBOSE bi-annual exam dates 2025 will be announced soon.
