The Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination Council (JEECUP) has opened registrations for the 2026 polytechnic counselling. Qualified candidates can register and select courses starting June 25, 2026 . The process takes place online at jeecup.admissions.nic.in .
JEECUP 2026 Counselling Schedule Announced
The first round of counselling registration closes on June 30, 2026 . Candidates will lock their choices within this period. Round 1 seat allotment results are scheduled for release on July 1, 2026 .
Following seat allotment, students will choose between freezing their seat or floating for another option. This choice, along with document verification, runs from July 2 to July 5 . Verification at district help centres occurs from July 2 to July 6 . Candidates can withdraw Round 1 seats by July 6 .
Choice modification for Round 2 opens on July 7 and closes July 9 . Round 2 seat allotment results are expected on July 10 . Seat acceptance fee payment and document verification for Round 2 will be from July 11 to July 14 . Round 2 seat withdrawals are permitted by July 15 .
For Round 3, choice filling and modification is from July 16 to July 17 . Round 3 seat allotment results will be available on July 20 . Seat acceptance fees and document verification for Round 3 are from July 21 to July 24 . Withdrawals for Round 3 seats are allowed until July 25 .
Classes are scheduled to commence on August 1, 2026 .
Counselling for Other States and Vacant Seats
Additional counselling rounds will accommodate candidates from other states and fill remaining vacant seats. Round 4 counselling includes choice filling and locking from July 27 to July 29 . Seat allotment results for Round 4 are due on July 30 .
The admission process and freeze/float option selection for Round 4 run from July 31 to August 3 . Seat acceptance fees and document verification will also occur during this period. Seat withdrawals for Round 4 are permitted by August 5 .
Round 5 counselling involves choice filling and locking from August 6 to August 10 . Round 5 seat allotment results will be released on August 11 . Seat acceptance fees and document verification for Round 5 are from August 12 to August 14 . Withdrawals of seats from Rounds 4 and 5 are allowed by August 15 .
JEECUP 2026 Counselling Process Steps
Candidates must follow these steps:
- Register on the official website and create a password.
- Log in and pay the ₹250 counselling fee online or via E-Challan.
- Select, prioritize, and lock preferred colleges and courses.
- Check the allotted seat and pay a ₹3000 seat acceptance fee.
- Report to the allotted institute for document verification to confirm admission.
