What to do after the JEE Mains 2026 Result
After the NTA JEE Main 2026 session 2 results are announced, students have a few options:
- Qualifying for JEE Advanced: If you score well enough to qualify for JEE Advanced, you must register for the exam. Registration for JEE Advanced will begin on April 23. The top 2.5 lakh candidates in JEE Mains are eligible to register for JEE Advanced. Your JEE Mains scorecard will state if you have qualified for JEE Advanced.
- JoSAA Counselling: If you do not qualify for JEE Advanced, you can apply for the JoSAA counselling. This counselling process starts on June 2 and is for admissions to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes).
- State-Level Counselling: Many states also conduct their own counselling processes for engineering admissions using JEE Main scores. Some states consider only JEE Main scores, while others use JEE Main scores along with Class 12 marks or their own entrance exams.
