JEE Main Paper 2 Exam Tomorrow: What to Carry & Instructions

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main Paper 2 for students wanting to study Architecture (BArch) and Planning (BPlan) is scheduled for tomorrow, January 29. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting this exam. Students who registered for Paper 2 must bring their admit card and other important documents to the exam center.

Exam Details

The JEE Main Paper 2 exam will be held for BArch (Paper 2A) and BPlan (Paper 2B). The exam will take place in a single shift, starting at 9:00 AM and ending at 12:30 PM. Candidates need to reach their exam center as per the time mentioned on their admit card. Late entries will not be allowed once the gates are closed. Biometric verification and frisking will be done before entering the exam hall.

What to Bring

Students must carry the following items:

  • JEE Main 2026 Admit Card
  • One passport-size photo, same as the one uploaded during application.
  • A valid original photo ID card. This can be an Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving Licence.

Drawing Materials for BArch

For the BArch exam (Paper 2A), the drawing section will be done offline. Candidates can bring:

  • Pencils
  • Erasers
  • A geometry box
  • Coloured pencils or crayons (if allowed by the exam center)

Rough sheets will be provided at the exam center.

Items Not Allowed

The following items are strictly prohibited inside the exam center:

  • Mobile phones, smartwatches, and Bluetooth devices
  • Calculators, digital pens, and pagers
  • Written notes, books, or loose papers
  • Wallets, handbags, caps, or metallic accessories

Bringing any of these prohibited items can lead to disqualification.

Exam Day Instructions

The exam will start exactly on time. Candidates should follow all instructions given on the computer screen and by the exam invigilators. Key instructions include:

  • Do not talk or try to communicate with other students.
  • Candidates cannot leave the exam hall before the exam ends.
  • The Mathematics and Aptitude sections for both BArch and BPlan will be conducted on computers (CBT mode).
  • Read each question carefully before answering.
  • It is advised to visit the exam center a day before the exam to avoid any travel issues.
  • Read all instructions on the admit card carefully.
