The results for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 have been released today, April 20, 2026. The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results on its official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in . This year's exam saw a record number of students appearing, the highest in the history of JEE Main.
A total of 16,04,854 students registered for the Paper 1 (BE/BTech) exam. Out of these, 15,38,468 students appeared for the test. This is the highest participation ever recorded for the JEE Main Paper 1 exam.

The NTA has also released details about the candidates who appeared and registered for the exam, broken down by category and gender.

The category with the highest number of appearing candidates was Other Backward Classes (OBC) with 6,11,953 students. This was followed by the General category with 5,38,239 students.
Toppers of JEE Main 2026 Session 2
The NTA also announced the list of students who achieved a perfect 100 percentile in JEE Main 2026 Session 2. The exam was conducted in 13 languages across 9 shifts over 5 days, from April 2 to April 8, 2026.
