The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced important dates for students applying to the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026, Session 1. This update is for candidates who have already filled out their application forms and might need to make changes.

The NTA will open a form correction window for JEE Main 2026 Session 1. During this time, registered candidates can fix any errors in their online application forms. This correction facility will be available for a very short period: from December 1, 2025 , to December 2, 2025 . Students must use this two-day window carefully to ensure all their details are correct.

Before the correction window opens, remember that the last day to submit new applications for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 is November 27, 2025 . If you haven't applied yet, make sure to do so before this deadline on the official website.

How to Correct Your JEE Main 2026 Application Form

Correcting your JEE Main application form is a straightforward process. Follow these steps to make sure your details are accurate:

1. **Go to the Official Website:** First, open your web browser and visit the official JEE Main website. The address is jeemain.nta.nic.in .

2. **Find the Correction Link:** On the homepage, look for a link that says "JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Application Form Correction" or something similar. This link will become active only on December 1, 2025 .

3. **Log In:** Click on the correction link. You will be asked to enter your application number and password. Use the same details you used when you first filled out your form.

4. **Access Your Form:** After logging in successfully, your submitted JEE Main 2026 application form will appear on the screen. Review all the information carefully.

5. **Make Necessary Changes:** You will be able to edit specific fields in your form. The NTA will show which details can be changed. These often include things like your personal details, educational qualifications, or your preferred exam city.

6. **Save Your Corrections:** After making all the required changes, ensure you click on the 'Save' or 'Update' button to apply them to your form.

7. **Pay Additional Fee (If Needed):** If any of your corrections result in a change to the application fee (for example, if you change your category to one with a higher fee), you will need to pay the extra amount online. Your changes will not be final until this payment is made.

8. **Submit Final Form:** Once you have saved your corrections and paid any additional fees, make sure to submit the final updated application form. It is a good idea to download and print a copy of the corrected form for your records.

Important Things to Remember

  • Limited Time: The correction window is very short, only December 1 and 2, 2025 . Do not wait until the last minute.
  • No Second Chance: The NTA has clearly stated that this is the only chance to make corrections for JEE Main 2026 Session 1. After December 2, 2025 , no further changes will be allowed. Make sure to check every detail carefully before submitting your corrected form.
  • Review All Details: Double-check your name, father's name, mother's name, date of birth, category, educational details, and chosen exam centers. Even small errors can cause problems later.
  • Keep Records: Always keep a printout or a digital copy of your final submitted application form, especially after making corrections.
