The National Testing Agency (NTA) has reported that over 7.7 lakh students have appeared for the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exam. The attendance rate has been very high, with 96.15% of the registered candidates showing up for the exam. A total of 8,01,326 students were scheduled to take the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exam. Out of these, 7,70,441 students appeared, showing a strong turnout. The NTA also confirmed that 7,40,412 students had their Aadhaar details verified, which is 96.10% of those who appeared. The exam also saw participation from 2,563 students with disabilities (PwD) , for whom special arrangements were made at exam centres.
