The National Testing Agency (NTA) has stopped results for 113 candidates who took the JEE Main 2026 exam. This action was taken because of suspected unfair practices and problems with their documents.
The NTA found that 57 candidates used unfair methods. This included using fake documents, bringing mobile phones into the exam hall, or having notes. Their results have been put on hold.
Another 56 candidates cannot download their results because of issues with their documents. These problems include mismatches in their photos, fingerprints, or personal details needed for identity checks. The main JEE Main session 2 results have been released for most students, but these 113 candidates will not get their scores yet.
Rules Against Unfair Means
The NTA has clear rules for the JEE Main exam. If a candidate is caught using unfair means, they can face serious consequences. These include:
- Getting their results cancelled.
- Being banned from taking future exams.
- Being caught at a different exam centre than assigned.
- Letting someone else take the exam for them.
If a student tries to take the same session of the exam more than once, they will be disqualified immediately. This is considered a serious unfair practice.
