Important Tips for Applicants

To avoid common mistakes and ensure a smooth application process:

  • Provide Accurate Details

Always double-check all the information you enter, especially personal details, before final submission. Incorrect information can cause problems later.

  • High-Quality Photo

Ensure your uploaded photograph is clear and meets the size and quality requirements. Avoid blurry or low-resolution images. The live photo capture must also be clear.

  • Correct Document Specifications

Verify that all your uploaded documents (photo, signature, ID proof, certificates) are in the correct format and size as specified by NTA. Incorrect formats can lead to your application being rejected.

  • Dealing with Payment Issues

If your application fee payment fails, do not panic. It is advised to wait for **24 hours** and then check your transaction status. You can try to make the payment again after this period.

Eligibility: Accepted Boards

All recognized central and state boards in India are accepted for JEE Main 2026. This means students from any officially recognized board are eligible to apply.

NTA will also open a one-time correction window later. This window allows you to correct limited details in your application form if you made any errors during submission. Pay close attention to announcements for the dates of this correction window.
