New Security Measures for JEE Main 2026 Exam Session 1
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is introducing new security checks for the JEE Main 2026 exam. For Session 1, scheduled on January 28 and 29, 2026 , students will undergo face authentication and Aadhaar-based biometric verification at the exam centres. These steps are designed to make the exam process more secure and fair for all candidates.
What Candidates Need to Know
At the exam centre, your face will be recognized using live facial recognition. Additionally, your fingerprint or iris scan will be taken, based on your Aadhaar card details. This new process aims to ensure the integrity of the JEE Main exam.
Because of these extra verification steps, the NTA is asking all students to reach their exam centres earlier than the reporting time mentioned on their admit cards . This will help avoid any last-minute rush or inconvenience.
NTA's Advice for a Smooth Process
The NTA has requested all students to cooperate with the exam centre officials during the verification process. To help things run smoothly, please make sure of the following:
- Your Aadhaar card details are correct and you have access to them.
- You listen carefully and follow all instructions given by the centre staff.
- You remain patient during the verification, as this step is required for everyone.
These measures are part of the NTA's commitment to conducting national-level exams with fairness and credibility. Your cooperation is important for these new security steps to work well.
