Important Dates for JEE Main 2026

Registration and Document Guidelines

  • DigiLocker Documents: Documents downloaded from DigiLocker are valid and can be used for your application.
  • Board Registration Number: You can upload any registration or roll number given by your school board.
  • Aadhaar Verification: For checking your Aadhaar, a One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the mobile number linked with your Aadhaar card.
  • Name Mismatch: If your name on your Class 10 marksheet is different from your Aadhaar card, it will not stop you from taking the exam.
  • Category Certificate: You do not need to upload your category certificate. You only need to write down the certificate number, the name of the authority that issued it, and the date it was issued.
  • Pending Certificates: If you have applied for a category certificate but have not received it yet, you must enter the receipt number or application details.

Key Exam Rules

Students must be aware of these strict rules for the JEE Main 2026 exam:

  • No Calculators: Using calculators is completely forbidden during the exam.
  • Exam Centre: You choose your preferred exam cities when you fill out the application form. However, once an exam centre is given to you, you cannot ask to change it.
