The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 admit cards (hall tickets) are expected to be released very soon by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Students who have registered for the exam must download their admit card from the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. It is very important to carry this admit card to the exam centre along with a valid ID proof.
NTA has already made the login link for the admit card available on its website. However, this link is not yet fully active. This means the release of the admit cards is very close. Based on past events, like the city intimation slip release, the link becomes active a few days after it first appears.
When to Expect Your Admit Card
The JEE Main 2026 admit cards will not be released for all students at once. NTA usually releases them in batches. This means students taking the exam on earlier dates will get their admit cards first.
| JEE Main Exam Dates | Expected Admit Card Release |
| January 21, 22, 23, 2026 | Around January 17 or 18, 2026 |
| January 24, 28, 29, 2026 | Around January 19 or 20, 2026 |
If you log in and see a message like "Admit card not yet allotted," do not worry. This simply means your admit card has not been generated yet because your exam date is later. It is not an error.
How to Download Your Admit Card
Once the JEE Main 2026 admit card is available, follow these steps to download it:
- Go to the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- On the homepage, look for the link that says "JEE Main 2026 Admit Card" and click on it.
- A login page will open on your screen.
- Enter your application number and password.
- Click on "Submit". Your JEE Main hall ticket will appear.
- Download the admit card and take at least two clear printouts.
Check All Details Carefully
After downloading your JEE Main 2026 admit card, you must check all the details printed on it very carefully. Make sure the following information is correct:
- Your name
- Your photo and signature
- Your father's name
- Your roll number
- Exam centre name and address
- Date and shift of your exam
- Reporting time to the exam centre
Keep these printouts safe for the exam day.
Colour or Black & White Print?
NTA has not specified whether the admit card printout should be in colour or black and white. However, it is highly recommended to take a colour printout. A colour print makes your photograph and signature clearer, which helps during verification at the exam centre. A black and white print is also usually accepted, as long as all the details and your photo are very clear and easy to read.
What if There is an Error in Your Admit Card?
If you find any mistake or error in your JEE Main 2026 admit card, do NOT try to change it yourself. Any changes made by you can lead to your application being cancelled. Instead, you must contact the NTA Helpdesk immediately:
- Email:jeemain@nta.ac.in
- Helpline Numbers: 011-4075 9000 or 011-6922 7700 (for issues)
When you contact them, provide your application number and a screenshot of the wrong detail. Follow the instructions given by NTA to fix the error.
