Indian School of Business and Finance to address the increasing demand for mental health professionals in India, introduced a new BSc Psychology (Hons) program under its new initiative. It is introducing it in collaboration with King's College London, a league international university.
The aim of the program is to arm students with the knowledge and competencies necessary to comprehend and manage mental diseases. This is particularly necessary in the present times, as mental health is a growing concern in the country.
For experiential learning, ISBF will also establish a Psychology Lab. The lab will facilitate students to conduct experiments and simulations and thereby learn psychology more efficiently through practical experience.
Arushi Bakshi, Director at ISBF, explained that the new course and lab reiterate the institute's commitment to exposing students to global theory-based learning but with practical application.
The curriculum will provide good quality academic content with practical use. As there is some collaboration with King's College London, the students can benefit from quality study material and international exposure.
ISBF has also established a Mentorship Board for mentoring students over the course of their academic and professional lives. The board has professionals from the best firms, such as Google and Meta, and professors from leading institutions, such as Harvard, Oxford, and Stanford.
Collectively, the course is going to make the students competent to be able to exercise the skills for being efficient mental health professionals and contribute constructively to society.
