Understanding Seat Allotment

Seat allotment is the process where candidates are assigned a specific college and course based on several factors. These factors include their rank in the INI CET exam, the choices of colleges and courses they submitted, the number of seats available in each program, and the government's reservation rules for different categories of students. After the allotment list is published, candidates can see which college and course they have been offered.

How to Check Your Allotment Result

Candidates can follow these simple steps to check their INI CET Jan 2026 Round 1 seat allotment results:

  • Go to the official website: aiimsexams.ac.in .
  • Look for the link that says “INI CET Jan 2026 Round 1 Allotment Result” on the homepage.
  • Click on the link and enter your registration ID, roll number, and password.
  • Your allotment result will appear on the screen, showing the college and course you have been offered.
  • Download and take a printout of your allotment letter for future use. This letter is important for the next steps.

What to Do After Seat Allotment

Once you see your allotted seat, you will have two main options:

1. Accept the Allotted Seat

If you are happy with the college and course offered, you can choose to accept the seat. To confirm your admission, you must pay the required course fee within the given timeline. After paying the fee, you must complete the document verification process at the allotted college.

2. Opt for an Upgrade

If you are not satisfied with the college or course you received, you have the option to apply for an upgrade. Choosing this option means you wish to participate in the next round of counselling to get a better seat. If you opt for an upgrade, your currently allotted seat is not confirmed, and you will wait for the next round's results. It is important to remember that choosing an upgrade means you might get a different seat in the next round, or you might not get any seat at all.

Document Verification and Reporting to College

Candidates who accept their allotted seats must report to the respective colleges for document verification. This process is crucial to ensure all your submitted details and documents are correct and valid. The dates for reporting to the college for document verification are between December 19 and 24, 2025 .

You must carry all your original documents along with photocopies to the college. Essential documents typically include your INI CET admit card, rank letter, seat allotment letter, MBBS degree certificate, internship completion certificate, medical registration certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), photo ID, and passport-size photographs.

It is very important to complete the reporting process within the specified dates. If a candidate accepts a seat but fails to join the allotted college, a penalty of Rs 3 lakhs will be charged. This rule ensures that serious candidates take up the available seats.

This Round 1 allotment is the first step in the admission process. Further rounds of counselling will be conducted for candidates who opted for an upgrade or did not get a seat in the first round.
