The first round of seat allotment results for the INI CET Jan 2026 exam has been released today, December 18, 2025 . Students who took the Institute of National Importance Common Entrance Test (INI CET) can now check which medical institute and subject they have been offered for their postgraduate studies.
Candidates can view their personal allotment results directly on the official AIIMS portal . It is important to check your result right away to understand your next steps for admission. This result tells you if you got a seat and where.

What to Do After Checking Your Result
Once you know your allotment, you must take action quickly through the online portal. You will need your login details to access your account.
- Step 1: Log In and Choose: Log in to the online portal. You will see two main options: Accept Seat or Upgrade Seat . You must make a choice within the deadline.
- Step 2: Accepting Your Seat: If you are satisfied with the college and subject you have received, you can accept the seat. To confirm, you must pay the required admission fee online. Use any online payment method available on the portal. Once paid, your seat is temporarily confirmed.
- Step 3: Opting for an Upgrade: If you wish to try for a better college or subject in the next counselling rounds, you can choose the "Upgrade Seat" option. This means you are hoping for a different, potentially better, seat. If you get a new seat in a later round, the seat you got in Round 1 will automatically be cancelled.
- Important Deadline: It is very important to log in and make your decision (accept or upgrade) before the given deadline. If you do not respond in time, you will automatically lose your allocated seat. Also, you will not be allowed to take part in any future counselling rounds for this admission cycle. Do not miss this deadline.
Self-Reporting and Document Verification
After accepting your seat and paying the fee, the next critical step is self-reporting. This means you must visit the institute that has been allotted to you. You need to complete this process in person.
During self-reporting, the institute will check all your original documents. Your seat is only confirmed officially after all your documents are verified and found to be correct. Make sure you have the following important documents ready:
- INI CET Allotment Order: The official letter showing that you have been offered a seat.
- INI CET Rank Card: The card showing your rank and score in the INI CET exam.
- Marksheet of Last Qualifying Exam: This is usually your MBBS marksheet or equivalent.
- Internship Completion Certificate: Proof that you have completed your internship.
- Date of Birth Proof: A document like your birth certificate or matriculation certificate.
- Category Certificate: If you applied under a reservation category (OBC, SC, ST, EWS), you need the valid certificate.
- Other Certificates: Any other specific certificates or affidavits mentioned in the INI CET prospectus or official instructions.
Bring both original documents and a set of photocopies. Ensure all your documents match the information you provided in your application form. Any mismatch or missing document can lead to cancellation of your provisional seat.
