IIT Delhi launched an Online Certificate Programme in Applied Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The program starts on November 14 . It is designed for working professionals. The academic session is for 2026-27.
Programme Details
The course runs for eight months. It covers AI fundamentals and applications. Topics include machine learning, data science, and MLOps. Participants learn AI model deployment. Live online classes occur every Sunday. Sessions run from 10 am to 1 pm. The total duration of live classes is 75 hours. Practical tutorials add another 40 hours. The program concludes on July 10, 2027 .
Curriculum and Tools
The curriculum features case studies. These examples span healthcare, finance, VLSI, and e-commerce. They illustrate real-world AI applications. Industry tools like TensorFlow, Docker, and Google Colab are used. Participants gain hands-on experience.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants need a graduation degree. A three-year diploma (10+2+3) is also accepted. The institution must be recognized. Preference goes to candidates from specific backgrounds. These include Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, and Physics. Related academic fields also receive preference.
Capstone Project and Certification
A capstone project is part of the program. It requires solving a real-world problem. Participants use learned concepts for the project. Successful completion earns an e-certificate. The certificate is issued by the Continuing Education Programme (CEP) at IIT Delhi.
