IIT Bombay reported a 70% placement rate for its 2024-25 academic year. This figure represents a drop from the 75% achieved in the previous year. Despite the lower hiring percentage, average salaries increased. The average annual compensation reached Rs. 26.45 lakh, an over 10% rise from last year. The median salary also climbed to Rs. 20 lakh.
The placement process saw 2,040 students participate. Of these, approximately 70% secured job offers. This contrasts with the 75% placement rate recorded during the 2023-24 placement season. The increase in average and median salaries signals stronger financial outcomes for students who received offers.
