IIT Bombay has extended the registration deadline for the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) 2026 and Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) 2026. Candidates can now apply until November 5 without paying a late fee. Submissions are accepted on the official websites, uceed.iitb.ac.in and ceed.iitb.ac.in.
The final deadline for registration, including a late fee, is November 10 by 5 PM. IIT Bombay confirmed no further extensions will be granted after this date.
Exam Schedule and Purpose
Both CEED 2026 and UCEED 2026 examinations will take place on January 18, 2026 . The exam will be conducted in a single shift, from 9 AM to 12 PM (noon).
UCEED 2026 facilitates admission to Bachelor of Design (BDes) programs. CEED 2026 is for Master of Design (MDes) programs. These programs are offered at IITs and other participating design institutes across India.
Exam Structure
Both entrance exams consist of two distinct parts. Candidates should familiarize themselves with the format for each test.
UCEED 2026 Exam Pattern
- Part A: One hour duration.
- Part B: Two hours duration.
CEED 2026 Exam Pattern
- Part A: One hour duration, conducted in online mode.
- Part B: Two hours duration, conducted in pen and paper mode.

The registration fee varies by candidate category. Applicants must pay the specified fee during the online application process.
