IIM Sambalpur conferred degrees upon 416 graduates at its 10th Convocation on Saturday. Women comprised 76% of the graduating class. This marks a significant increase in female representation in management education.
Graduating Batches and Programs
The 10th convocation included graduates from multiple programs. A total of 314 students completed the MBA program (2024-26). The Executive MBA program saw 39 graduates from the 2023-25 batch and 36 from the 2024-26 batch.
Additionally, 17 students finished the Executive MBA for Working Professionals program (2024-26). Ten PhD scholars also received their degrees. This diverse group reflects the institute's broad academic offerings.
Distinguished Guests and Achievements
Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, Governor of Odisha, served as the chief guest. Prativa Mohapatra, Vice President and Managing Director of Adobe India, was the guest of honour. Their presence highlighted the event's importance.
Director Professor Mahadeo Jaiswal announced IIM Sambalpur's rise in the NIRF 2025 rankings . The institute climbed 16 ranks, improving its national standing. This progress demonstrates continued academic growth.
Academic Excellence Recognized
Top academic performers received gold medals. Srijan Chakraborty and Manya Singh were honored for their achievements. These awards recognize dedication and outstanding results.
The Director also mentioned the institute's AI-enabled classrooms. These facilities have received international recognition. They are comparable to innovations at institutions like Harvard Business School.
