IIM Sambalpur has announced the list of students selected for the Personal Interview (PI) round for its MBA program for the 2026-28 batch . This is an important step for those aiming to join one of India’s top business schools.
Candidates who applied for the MBA program at IIM Sambalpur through the CAT 2025 exam and met the required scores have received emails about their selection. The minimum CAT score needed for general category students to be shortlisted is 90 percentile .
The selection process considers both the student's CAT score and their academic record from school and college. The CAT 2025 results were declared on December 24, 2025 . Following this, many Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) began inviting candidates for interviews starting from January 1, 2026 . Other IIMs like IIM Kozhikode, IIM Vizag, IIM Rohtak, and IIM Bodhgaya have also started their interview registration process.

To be selected for the Personal Interview (PI) round, candidates needed to score above a certain CAT percentile. IIM Sambalpur only uses an overall CAT score cut-off and does not look at scores for individual sections of the exam.
