The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has finished its first round of summer placements for the PGP Class of 2027. This important event, known as Cluster-1, happened on October 28, 2025 . During this round, students secured more than 80 job roles for their summer internships. Companies participated in these placements in a hybrid way, meaning both online and by coming to the campus to meet students.
These summer placements help students get practical work experience before they finish their studies. The job offers were made across six main areas of work. These areas included Management Consulting, Transformation & Operations Consulting, Advisory Consulting, Cards & Financial Advisory, Investment Banking & Markets, and Private Equity (PE), Venture Capital (VC), Asset Management & Hedge Funds. These different areas show the wide range of careers IIMA students can choose from.

Many leading companies from India and abroad came to IIMA to hire students for summer internships. The main companies that offered the most roles in this first cluster were:

The placements saw strong participation from companies in various business sectors, offering diverse roles to the students.

Besides the major consulting firms mentioned, many other well-known consulting companies also made offers. These regular participants in IIMA placements included:

For students interested in managing large investments and funding new businesses, many firms from the private equity, venture capital, and asset management sectors participated. The companies that hired from this group include:

Cards & Financial Advisory
In the specialized area of cards and financial advisory services, American Express was a top recruiter, offering several opportunities. Cranmore Partners and Synergy Consulting also offered roles in this sector. This area involves advising on financial products and payment solutions.
International Job Offers
A notable part of this placement round was the international job offers made to IIMA students. These opportunities allow students to gain global work experience. Companies offering roles outside India included:

Next Steps for Summer Placements
The summer placement process for the PGP Class of 2027 is still ongoing. Two more rounds, called Cluster-2 and Cluster-3, are planned. These will happen on:
- Cluster-2 : October 31, 2025
- Cluster-3 : November 3, 2025
