Students from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad), PGP class of 2027, recently finished the second round of their summer job placements. Many big companies hired students for various roles. The placements were held in a mix of online and offline modes.
More than 60 different job roles were offered by a large number of companies. The placements covered seven main sectors:

Details on Placements by Sector
Conglomerates Sector Sees Strong Interest
In the conglomerates sector, Mahindra & Mahindra hired the most students. Following them were TATA Administrative Services and Aditya Birla Group . Other companies that hired from this sector include Abhinandan Ventures, CK Birla Group, JSW, and Vedanta Limited.
Consumer Goods Sector Attracts Many Recruiters
Procter & Gamble hired the highest number of students in the consumer goods sector. ITC Limited was also a major recruiter. Other well-known companies in this group were AB InBev, Asian Paints, Coca Cola Company, Dabur, Diageo India, Hindustan Unilever Ltd., Nestle, Purplle, United Breweries Limited, Wipro Consumer Care, and Zydus Wellness. Two new companies, Haleon and Philip Morris International , joined the placements for the first time in this sector.
Financial Platform and Services Sector
FinIQ Consulting was the top company hiring students in the financial platform and services sector. This round also saw a new company, Jupiter Money , taking part in the summer placements for the first time.
Advertising and Media Sector Gains New Partners
JioStar hired the most students in the advertising and media sector. This company also participated for the first time in these summer placements. Another new recruiter in this sector was Dainik Bhaskar .
Retail B2B & Retail E-commerce Sector Stays Strong
In the retail sector, Amazon and Flipkart were the top companies hiring students for various roles.
Pharmaceuticals & Health Care Sector Shows Confidence
The pharmaceuticals and health care sector actively hired students. Companies like Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited , Dr. Reddy's Laboratories , Bharat Serums and Vaccines Limited , Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd , and Optum showed great interest in the student talent. Medtronic India Pvt Ltd was a new company participating in this sector's placements.
International Opportunities and Future Plans
Students also got chances for international jobs. Fast Retailing Co. Ltd. offered roles to students for overseas positions.
