Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is accepting applications for its July 2026 PhD programs. The deadline to apply is July 1, 2026 . A total of 36 PhD specializations are available. The application fee is Rs. 2,000.
Eligibility Criteria
Admissions follow UGC PhD Regulations, 2022. All applicants must participate in an interview or viva-voce. Candidates who have passed the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and National Eligibility Test (NET) will only need to attend the interview.
Eligible candidates include:
- UGC NET qualified individuals eligible for Assistant Professor and PhD.
- UGC NET qualified individuals eligible for PhD only.
- Candidates applying through the university's entrance exam.
