The counselling process for ICAR AIEEA UG is yet to take place. The results for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG examination were declared almost two months ago on 4th July 2025. With no announcements for the counselling process yet, students interested in the fields of Agriculture, Horticulture and Fisheries are growing more and more concerned.
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), the relevant authority behind conducting the counselling process of the exam, have attributed the delay of the counselling process to ‘the streamlining of admission mechanisms’. This lack of transparency on behalf of the ICAR authorities is further contributing to student worries who are hoping to pursue programs in these fields.
As the counselling process for ICAR UG was announced 10 days before the results of the CUET UG exam were declared last year, students are growing more concerned with each passing day. There are up to 12 highly crucial courses that students can hope to gain admission through the ICAR counselling process. Students face uncertainty about their futures within their choice of courses, even if they scored well on the CUET examination. For some students, family and peer pressure is also a growing concern, especially with the reducing window of the academic calendar.
