Registration Changes for Classes 9 and 11
HPBOSE has updated its examination rules. Students now register in Class 9 and Class 11. This replaces the previous system of registering directly for Class 10 and Class 12. The change aims to simplify administrative processes. These new rules are an amendment to Rule 18.1 of Chapter 18 of the Examination Regulations, 1994.
A Class 9 registration remains valid until a student successfully completes Class 10. Similarly, a Class 11 registration is valid through to the completion of Class 12.
Information for Transfer Students
Students transferring from other educational boards into Class 10 or Class 12 as new candidates must apply directly to HPBOSE. They will need to register as fresh applicants.
Registration Fees and Deadlines
The standard registration fee is ₹200 per student . Schools affiliated with HPBOSE must submit all registrations by the initial deadline. A late fee of ₹500 will apply to registrations submitted after October 15, 2026. The final deadline for registration, including late fees, is November 15, 2026.
