Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu launched the Takniki Rozgar Setu portal in Shimla on January 3, 2024. This digital platform connects students, technical institutions, and employers. The goal is to simplify the hiring process.
Portal Features
The Takniki Rozgar Setu portal allows students to create profiles. They can upload training details and certificates. Students can search and apply for jobs online. They can also track application status.
Employers can register on the portal. They can post job vacancies. Employers can review candidate profiles. They can also manage the hiring process online. The department is notified of successful hires.
Technical institutions can manage student data. They can approve student profiles. Institutions can track placement results. This keeps records current. It also improves employer connections.
Initial Participation Data
As of the launch, 164 institutions have registered. This includes 136 Industrial Training Institutions. Five Engineering colleges and five Pharmacy colleges are also registered. There are 18 Polytechnic colleges.
26,168 students registered via the Him Access Integration portal. Skill mapping is complete for 23,054 students. 97 employers have joined the platform.
Broader Benefits
The portal also enables hiring for skilled trades. Individuals can find electricians and plumbers for short-term work. Skilled workers can register to offer their services.
The Chief Minister stated the government uses technology for governance. The portal aims to create real job opportunities. It strengthens ties between industry and education. This supports Himachal Pradesh as a skilled workforce center.
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani attended the launch. Senior officers were also present.
