The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) will offer a 'Best of Two' improvement exam for Class 10 students. This policy applies to the June 2026 Supplementary Examination. The announcement follows the release of the March 2026 Class 10 results on May 6. The overall pass percentage for the main exam was 83.86%.
'Best of Two' Policy Details
Under the new policy, students can retake any or all subjects. The highest score from the original March exam and the June supplementary exam will be recorded on the final mark sheet. This allows students to improve their scores without losing their original marks.
Students who received E1 or E2 grades must improve their performance. They need to achieve a minimum of Grade D to pass the SSC examination. The standard passing mark is 33%. Differently-abled candidates require 20% to pass.
Exam Subject Coverage and Eligibility
The improvement option covers all major languages. It also includes core subjects like Mathematics (Standard and Basic), Science, and Social Science. Several vocational courses are also included.
GSEB data indicates over 32,000 students are eligible for this supplementary examination. Schools across Gujarat will soon provide detailed circulars. Registration links for the June session will be available shortly.
