Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has started the registration for GATE COAP 2026. This is an opportunity for students to get admission for M.Tech courses or jobs in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
The registration is open on the official website: coap2026.iitr.ac.in . Students who have cleared the GATE exam in 2026, 2025, or 2024 can apply. This process is managed by COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal).
Who Can Apply?
To register, you need a valid GATE score from the years 2026, 2025, or 2024 . You are applying for M.Tech admissions or PSU jobs through the institutes that are part of the COAP program.
What Information is Needed?
For registration, you will need your basic details. These include:
- Your full name
- Your GATE registration number
- Your valid GATE score
- Your date of birth
- Your mobile number
- Your email address
You do not need to submit or upload any documents at the time of registration. The registration is completed after you log in using the details sent to your email and phone.

How to Register?
To apply, go to the official website coap2026.iitr.ac.in . Follow the steps to fill out the application form. After registering, you will see offers from participating institutes linked to your COAP registration number.
If you have more than one valid GATE scorecard, use the one with the better score or higher rank. You need to apply separately to each institute for M.Tech admission or to each PSU for job opportunities.
Who Does Not Need to Register?
Students who have completed their B.Tech degree from an IIT with a CGPA of 8.0 or higher (on a 10-point scale) can apply directly to the M.Tech programs in their respective IITs. They do not need to register on the COAP portal.
