Maharashtra's Class 11 admissions saw over 100,000 applications within four days of the online portal opening. The School Education and Sports Department launched the First Year Junior College (FYJC) admission process on April 10. By April 14, the website recorded 110,221 students completing the first part of the application.
Application Deadline Approaches
Students must complete 'Part One' of the online application by April 30, 5:00 PM . This initial registration requires basic information including personal details, category, and school name. Early completion of Part One simplifies the subsequent admission steps.
Centralized Online Admission System
This marks the second year Maharashtra is using a centralized online admission system for FYJC. The initiative aims to expand statewide. The system now includes 9,551 colleges across the state.
Authorities anticipate over 22 lakh seats will be available for Class XI admissions. The Directorate of Education opened Part One registration before the Class 10 results are announced in June 2026.
Part Two Registration Process
'Part Two' of the application will open after Class 10 results are declared. In Part Two, students will select their preferred colleges and rank them. Admissions will be based on a merit list compiled from student performance and their college preferences.
Students from all educational boards, including the State Board, CBSE, and ICSE, are eligible to apply. The official website for applications is mahafyjcadmissions.in .
