The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) will provide free duplicate marksheets and certificates to students affected by recent floods. This measure was announced on July 29, 2026 . The decision aims to prevent disruptions in higher education admissions, scholarships, and job applications.
Duplicate Documents Available
Students can receive free duplicate copies of their HSLC/AHM and HS Final pass certificates, mark sheets, admit cards, and registration cards . The ASSEB stated that no police First Information Report (FIR) is required for these applications.
Applicants only need to submit a signed declaration. This declaration must confirm that their original documents were lost or damaged in the floods.
Online Application Process
The facility is available online for students in four Upper Assam districts heavily impacted by floods: Charaideo, Sivasagar, Jorhat, and Golaghat .
To apply:
- Visit the official ASSEB website.
- Select the "Duplicate marksheet/pass certificate" option.
- Enter roll number, registration details, year of passing, and other student information.
- Upload the signed declaration form.
- Verify application details before submitting.
- Submit the application free of charge.
- Obtain an acknowledgment receipt.
