Foreign Language Jobs: Up to Rs 2 Lakh Monthly Salary

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced on July 15, 2026 , that foreign language skills could lead to monthly salaries up to Rs 2 lakh . He encouraged government school teachers to introduce languages like German, Japanese, and Korean to students. These languages can create overseas job opportunities.

Foreign Languages Drive Job Opportunities

Learning basic foreign language skills can secure employment in other countries. Salaries for these roles can reach Rs 2 lakh per month . The Chief Minister made these remarks during the inauguration of a new building at Kothakota girls' high school in Wanaparthy district.

Government Focus on Education

Reddy stated the current Congress government is sending government school teachers on foreign study tours. These tours aim to examine and adopt successful education policies from other nations. Previously, such educational study tours were limited to IAS and IPS officers.

Improving School Performance

The Chief Minister highlighted Telangana's 18th rank in the Centre's Performance Grading Index (PGI). He praised teachers for improving academic outcomes. Reddy urged educators to aim for a top-two ranking in the upcoming years.

Government schools are essential for the state's development. The government prioritizes strengthening public education. The Chief Minister pledged support for students excelling in academics or sports.

Infrastructure and Learning Environment

Past neglect led to inadequate infrastructure in government schools. This resulted in lower enrollment rates over the last decade. The Congress government has launched an initiative to improve infrastructure. This drive aims to create better learning environments.

The distribution of education kits to approximately 28 lakh students will be complete by August 15, 2026 . The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of classrooms for students' futures. He retained the education portfolio to oversee this directly.

A system will allow students to provide feedback on education kits and teaching via WhatsApp. The government is spending ₹1.08 lakh per annum per student . Reddy encouraged students to attend government schools without stigma.

He cited his own experience as a government school student who became Chief Minister. Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao and Vakiti Srihari, along with Telangana State Planning Board vice-chairperson G. Chinna Reddy, also attended government schools.
