NEP 2020 Implementation Reviewed
Pradhan stated that state and central government partnership is key to implementing educational initiatives effectively. The conference served as a platform to review ongoing schemes. It also fostered a shared commitment towards 'Viksit Bharat'.
Focus on Foundational Learning and Future Education
The minister emphasized that school education is vital for India's development by 2047. Strengthening Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) is a priority, aligning with NEP 2020. Education in mother tongues, skill development, and sports also received attention. The goal is to benefit approximately 30 crore students nationwide.
Key areas for enhancement include innovation and scientific temper in schools. Community participation is also encouraged. The government aims to empower India's youth for nation-building.
Scheme Expansion and Quality Improvement
The government is working to expand PM SHRI Schools and PM POSHAN. Atal Tinkering Labs are also part of this expansion. These efforts aim to boost the quality of school education across the country.
Based on state experiences and innovations, the Education Ministry will accelerate NEP 2020 implementation. This aims to provide quality, inclusive, and future-ready education to every child.
