The University of Delhi (DU) has extended the application deadline for its Vice Chancellor Internship Scheme (VCIS) – Summer Internship 2026. The new deadline is April 30, 2026 , moving from the original April 27 date.
Interested students must apply through the Dean Students' Welfare (DSW) portal. This program allows students to work with university departments during the summer break in June and July. It aims to combine academic study with administrative and professional experience.
Internship Details
Selected interns will receive a monthly stipend of ₹11,576. The weekly commitment is 20 hours. The internship offers professional experience and compensation.
Eligibility Requirements
Students enrolled in regular undergraduate or postgraduate programs at the University of Delhi are eligible. Students in their final semester or final year cannot apply.
A key requirement is a Letter of Recommendation (LoR). This letter must be properly stamped and signed by the student's college principal or department head.
How to Apply
Students should visit the official DSW website at dsw.du.ac.in. They can find the LoR format on the internship notification link.
Students must get their department head or principal to sign the LoR. Next, scan the college ID card and the signed recommendation letter. Upload these documents along with personal and academic information on the online application form.
The complete application must be submitted by the new deadline of April 30, 2026 .
