The University of Delhi (DU) has released a simulated rank list for Undergraduate admissions. Over 2.08 lakh students have submitted their college and program preferences through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). The first official seat allocation list is scheduled for release on July 16, 2026 .
Simulated Rank List Issued
DU issued simulated ranks on July 12, 2026 . This list allows students to estimate their potential seat allocation. Following its release, the university opened a correction window. This allowed students to modify their preferences. The window closed on July 13, 2026 , at 4:59 PM.
DU Dean of Admissions Haneet Gandhi stated that the revised data accounts for students who registered earlier but hadn't filled preferences. They submitted choices after seeing the simulated ranks.
Application Numbers
Revised data shows 273,751 students have signed up on the CSAS portal. Of these, 218,284 students completed their registration. This includes 97,775 male and 120,509 female applicants.
Preference Selection Process
Students select their preferred programs and colleges during the second phase of CSAS. This phase ran from July 3 to July 11, 2026 . Applicants must map their CUET UG subjects to their Class 12 subjects. They then fill in desired college and program combinations.

Next Steps for Students
Students whose names appear on the first allocation list must accept their seats. They will need to submit required documents. Further admission formalities will follow. DU offers admissions to 73 undergraduate programs and over 100 BA program combinations across 67 colleges. Admissions are based on CUET UG scores and program eligibility criteria.
