Delhi University (DU) announced that its undergraduate admissions process for the 2026-2027 academic session will begin this week. The Centralized Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal is set to launch in late June. This system will manage admissions for over 71,000 seats across 79 undergraduate programs in more than 70 DU-affiliated colleges. The academic session is scheduled to start on July 21, 2026.
The university's admission process is now exclusively based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2026 results. CUET-UG replaces previous admission criteria like board examination cut-offs, establishing a merit-based selection system.

Applicants must register on the DU admissions portal. This requires using their CUET application number and basic personal information.
Stage 2: Preference Filling
Candidates will select their preferred course and college combinations. It is recommended that applicants list a wide range of preferences to maximize their chances.
Stage 3: Seat Allotment and Admission
Seats will be allocated in multiple rounds based on merit. After a seat is offered, candidates can choose to 'Freeze' it or 'Upgrade' to a higher preference in subsequent rounds.
