Delhi students from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) can now apply for government scholarships. The application period for the 2025-26 academic year opened on April 6. The deadline to submit applications is April 30 .
Applications are managed through the e-District Delhi portal. The scholarships aim to reduce financial barriers for students pursuing education. These include both central and five state-funded schemes.
Scholarship Programs Details
Several programs offer financial assistance. Tuition fee reimbursement is available for students in Classes 1 through 12. This applies to families with an annual income up to ₹3 lakh.
A merit-based scholarship supports higher education. Students in professional or technical courses who achieved at least 60% marks can receive ₹8,000 to ₹24,000 annually.
The Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Pratibha Yojana provides grants. Students in Classes 9-10 receive ₹5,000 annually. Those in Classes 11-12 get ₹10,000 annually.
The Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Topper Award recognizes academic excellence. University toppers receive a ₹25,000 cash prize.
For students seeking international education, assistance is available for master's and doctoral courses abroad. This can cover up to ₹20 lakh in total.
How to Apply
Interested students must apply online. Visit the official e-District Delhi website to start. New users need to register using their login information or Aadhaar card.
Select the relevant scholarship scheme for your category (OBC, SC, or ST). Fill in personal, bank account, and academic details. Upload required documents, including marksheets, income proof, and caste certificates.
Review all entered information carefully before final submission. The deadline for all applications is April 30 .
