The Young Investigator Award is given to young researchers who show great promise and new ideas in their field.

Award Winners

The two PhD scholars who received the Young Investigator Award are:

  • Jiten Singh : He is a PhD scholar from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Central University of Haryana (CUH) , Mahendergarh. His research was guided by Dr. Dinesh Kumar and Dr. Ashok Jangra .
  • Ambika : She is a PhD scholar from NIPER Haripur . Her research mentor is Dr. Vipan Parihar .

This award is a significant achievement for both students. It shows that their research is valuable and meets high standards in the field of pharmacology. Such recognition helps encourage young scientists to continue their hard work and develop new solutions in medicine and healthcare.

About the Young Investigator Award

The Young Investigator Award is a special prize. It aims to support and motivate young researchers who are at the beginning of their careers. Winning this award means that a special committee has reviewed their research work and found it to be outstanding. It often suggests that the research has the potential to make a real difference in the field of pharmacology.

For students, winning this award builds confidence in their abilities. It can also open doors for future research projects, higher studies, or job opportunities in scientific organizations and pharmaceutical companies. It serves as a mark of excellence in their chosen field.

The IPC-IPSCON Conference

The Indian Pharmacological Society (IPS) organizes its annual conference, IPSCON, every year. This event brings together leading experts, professors, and students from across India and other countries. The 55th conference was a major gathering for professionals in pharmacology – the study of how medicines work and their effects on the body. It offered a platform for sharing new research findings, discussing challenges, and exploring new ways to improve health through scientific discovery.

Attending such conferences helps scientists present their latest work, exchange ideas, and learn from their peers. This exchange of knowledge is vital for moving forward in medical science and developing better treatments for diseases. For participating students, it provides a valuable opportunity to learn about the latest trends in research and to connect with experienced researchers in the field.

Central University of Haryana's Participation

Central University of Haryana demonstrated a strong commitment to research and academic engagement at the IPC-IPSCON-2025 conference. Besides Jiten Singh's award, eleven other M.Pharm and PhD scholars from CUH also attended the international conference. This participation gave them important exposure to new research ideas and different scientific approaches from researchers in India and abroad.

Faculty members from CUH also played key roles during the event:

  • Professor Vipan Kumar Parihar delivered an invited talk.
  • Dr. Ashok Jangra also gave an invited talk to the attendees.
  • Dr. Dinesh Kumar served as an evaluator for the poster presentations, assessing the research work of other participants.

This broad involvement from both students and faculty shows CUH's strong focus on fostering a vibrant research environment and academic excellence. It helps students connect with the larger scientific community and brings valuable new knowledge back to the university.

Impact on Pharmaceutical Research

Achievements like this Young Investigator Award are very important for the growth of pharmaceutical research in India. They show that Indian universities and institutions are producing high-quality scientific work. Pharmacology is a vital field because it directly influences how new drugs are discovered, developed, tested, and used safely and effectively.

Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar , the Vice-Chancellor of CUH, appreciated the awardees for their hard work. He, along with mentors Dr. Vipan Parihar , Dr. Dinesh Kumar , and Dr. Ashok Jangra , expressed their pride in this accomplishment. This success highlights the active research environment at Central University of Haryana, which continues to add new knowledge to pharmaceutical sciences. Such recognition encourages more students to pursue research and innovation, helping India to build a strong pool of talented scientists who can contribute to global healthcare solutions.
