Why Choosing the Right Subjects Matters (Subject Mapping)

Choosing the correct CUET subjects, known as 'subject mapping', is crucial for getting admission to your desired undergraduate course. Universities that accept CUET scores have specific subject combinations for different programs. Here's why subject mapping is very important:

  • It is the first step to meet eligibility requirements for college admissions.
  • If you do not choose the correct subjects, you might not be allowed to join a course, even if you score well in the exam.
  • Your chosen subjects should match your Class 12th subjects . This helps you score higher and increases your chances of admission.

CUET 2026 Subject Rules for Top Universities (Example: Delhi University)

Students looking for admission to central universities like Delhi University (DU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and Allahabad University (AU) must select subjects according to the course rules.
