The registration for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG 2026) is closing soon. Students who wish to join undergraduate courses at central, state, private, or government colleges in India must apply online. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will stop accepting applications on January 30, 2026, by 11:50 PM. This is a key step for students planning to pursue higher education after Class 12.
After registering, candidates must pay the application fee. The last date to pay the fee is January 31, 2026, also by 11:50 PM. The CUET UG 2026 exam will take place from May 11 to May 30, 2026. It will be held in computer-based test (CBT) mode. The full schedule for subjects will be announced later, once the registration process is over.
CUET UG 2026 Application Fees
Students need to pay a registration fee based on their category and the number of subjects they choose. Here are the fees:

When filling the online form, students must have the following documents ready. Make sure they are in the correct format and size:

How to Apply for CUET UG 2026
Follow these steps to register for the Common University Entrance Test (UG-2026):
- Go to the official NTA CUET UG website: cuet.nta.nic.in.
- Look for the 'Candidate Activity' section and click on the link for 'Registration for CUET(UG)-2026'.
- Click on 'New Registration'. Enter your personal details to create your CUET UG 2026 login.
- Fill out the CUET application form with all required information. This includes:
- Personal and contact details
- Academic qualifications (your Class 10 and 12 details)
- CUET subject choices
- Your preferred CUET exam city
- Your Apaar ID (if you have one, but it is not compulsory)
- Category Certificate (if you belong to a reserved category)
- Finally, pay the CUET application fee based on your category and the number of subjects you have selected.
Is APAAR ID Mandatory?
No, the APAAR ID is not mandatory. If you do not have an APAAR ID, you can either create one or simply choose 'NO' from the dropdown menu for APAAR ID in the application form.
What Happens After Registration Closes?
After the registration window closes, the NTA will open a correction window. This window allows registered students to make changes to specific details in their application form. Only students who have successfully submitted their form and paid the fee can use this option. The CUET correction window 2026 will be open from February 02 to February 04, 2026, until 11:50 PM.
