The Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) requested the National Testing Agency (NTA) to postpone the CUET UG 2026 exam scheduled for May 28 . SIO cited a conflict with Eid-ul-Adha celebrations. The request followed the release of admit cards for the May 28 exam.
SIO Concerns
SIO stated that holding a national entrance exam on a religious holiday creates difficulties. Students may face issues with transportation and accommodation. They could also miss religious observances.
The organization submitted a memorandum to NTA. They asked for the May 28 exam to be moved to a different date. SIO emphasized inclusivity and fairness for students from all backgrounds.
