The National Testing Agency (NTA) will hold the CSIR UGC NET 2025 exam on December 18, 2025 . This exam is for students seeking Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions in science. All registered students must download their admit card from the official website now.

The exam will cover five subjects: Earth Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences. It will run in two shifts: morning ( 9 AM to 12 PM ) and evening ( 3 PM to 6 PM ). Students must reach their exam centre at least two hours before their paper starts.

How to Download Your CSIR NET 2025 Admit Card

The admit card, also called the hall ticket, is a mandatory document for the exam. It includes important instructions and your specific exam details. Follow these steps to get your admit card:

  • Visit the official website: csirnet.nta.nic.in .
  • Click on the link 'Download CSIR UGC NET Admit Card'.
  • A login screen will appear. Enter your application number and date of birth .
  • Your CSIR NET December session admit card will be shown on the screen.
  • Download and save the admit card. Take a clear printout to carry to the exam centre.

Important Rules for CSIR NET Exam Day

Your admit card lists specific rules for the exam centre. Read these carefully to avoid problems.

Things You Must Do (Do's):

  • Read Instructions: Read all instructions on your admit card before going to the exam centre.
  • Reach Early: Arrive at the CSIR NET centre well before the reporting time. You must report two hours before your exam starts.
  • Carry Admit Card: Bring a printed copy of your admit card. Digital copies are not allowed.
  • Bring ID Proof: Carry an original, valid photo ID. This can be your Aadhaar card, PAN card, Passport, Driver’s License, or Voter ID .
  • Paste Photo & Fill Form: If required, paste a passport-size photo and fill the self-declaration on your admit card before reaching the centre.
  • Check Exam Details: Check your exam details on the computer screen. If there is any problem, tell the exam invigilator immediately.
  • Follow Invigilators: Follow all instructions given by the invigilators inside the exam hall.

Things to Avoid (Don'ts):

  • No Prohibited Items: Do not bring bags, books, notes, mobile phones, or other electronic devices into the exam hall.
  • No Outside Food: Do not bring eatables or packaged food. Diabetic candidates should check their admit card for special rules.
  • No Cheating: Do not cheat, use unfair methods, or try to send someone else to take the exam for you.
  • Do Not Be Late: Do not arrive late. Entry is not allowed after the gates close.
  • Do Not Leave Early: Do not leave the exam hall before the exam time is completely over.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Avoid smoking or spitting inside the exam centre premises.
