Students waiting for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2026 admit card can expect it to be released soon. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will likely issue the admit card by January 20, 2026 . The CMAT 2026 exam is set for January 25, 2026 .
The NTA released the city intimation slip on January 16 . This slip tells candidates only their exam city. The full admit card will have details about the exact test centre, exam timing, and session. This year, the CMAT exam will happen in over 120 cities across India.

How to Download Your CMAT 2026 Admit Card
The admit card will only be available online on the NTA-CMAT website. No admit cards will be sent by post. Follow these steps to download yours:
- Go to the official NTA-CMAT website:cmat.nta.nic.in
- Look for and click on the link that says ‘download CMAT 2026 admit card’.
- Enter your CMAT application number and your password .
- Your admit card will appear on the screen.
- Check all the details carefully.
- Download and print at least two copies of the admit card on A4 size paper.
It is important to keep your admit card safe even after the exam for future reference. The download link will be removed after the exam day.
What to Carry to the Exam Centre
On exam day, candidates must bring certain items. Make sure you have these ready:
- Printed Admit Card: Two printouts of your CMAT 2026 admit card, along with the Self Declaration (Undertaking) form. Make sure the printouts are clear.
- Passport Size Photograph: Carry one recent passport size photo. This photo should be the same as the one uploaded in your CMAT 2026 application form. You will need to paste it on the attendance sheet at the centre.
- Valid Photo ID: Bring the original copy of any one of these identity cards:
- School Identity Card
- PAN card
- Passport
- Aadhaar Card (with photograph)
- E-Aadhaar (with photograph)
- Class 12 Board Admit Card (with photograph)
- Bank Passbook (with photograph)
- Pen: Carry one blue or black ballpoint pen. No other stationery items are allowed.
Special Rules for PwD Candidates
If you are a PwD (Persons with Disabilities) or PwBD candidate and are claiming special benefits, you must carry a certificate. This certificate must be issued by a medical officer and show your physical limitation for the exam.
Rules for Name Change
If you have changed your name (for example, due to marriage), you must show a relevant document. This could be a Marriage Certificate, Divorce Decree, or a Legal Name Change Document.
Items Not Allowed in the Exam Centre
To ensure a fair exam, certain items are strictly not allowed inside the test centre:
- Instruments, geometry or pencil box
- Handbag, purse
- Any stationery items other than a pen
- Eatables (food items), water bottle
- Mobile phone, earphone, microphone, pager
- Calculator or any other electronic device
Important Exam Day Rules
Candidates must follow these rules on the exam day:
- Reporting Time: Reach the test centre at least 2 hours before the exam starts. This allows time for checking documents and entry.
- No Changes to Centre or Slot: You cannot change your exam centre or test slot (morning or afternoon session) once the admit card is issued. You must appear at the centre and time mentioned on your admit card. The exam is conducted in 2 sessions .
- Admit Card Condition: Do not damage or change any information on your admit card. A damaged admit card will not be accepted.
- No Digital Copies: A digital copy of the admit card on your phone will not be considered valid for entry. You must carry a printout.
The CMAT 2026 exam will be a computer-based test (CBT) and will be conducted entirely in English. Each session will be 3 hours long, and no breaks will be allowed during the exam.
