Applications for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2027 opened on August 3, 2026. The examination is scheduled for December 6, 2026.
CLAT 2027 Undergraduate Eligibility
Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate law programs must have completed their Class 12. Alternatively, students currently appearing for their Class 12 exams and expecting results in March or April 2027 are eligible to apply.
A minimum of 45% aggregate marks is required in the qualifying examination for general, Other Backward Classes (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Non-Resident Indians (NRI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) categories.
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories receive a relaxation. They need to secure a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in their Class 12 examinations.
There is no upper age limit for appearing in the CLAT 2027 exam for undergraduate programs.
CLAT 2027 Postgraduate Eligibility
For postgraduate law programs, candidates must hold a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. Applicants in the final year of their LLB graduation are also eligible to apply.
General, OBC, PWD, NRI, PIO, and OCI candidates must have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in their LLB undergraduate degree.
SC and ST category candidates are eligible for a 5% mark relaxation. They need to achieve a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in their LLB degree.
Similar to the undergraduate section, there is no age restriction for CLAT PG 2027 applicants.

The application window for CLAT 2027 closes on October 31, 2026 . The CLAT admit cards will be released 15 days before the exam date.
