Understanding Your Seat Options: Freeze, Float, or Withdraw
After checking the allotment list, candidates have three main choices for their seat. You must make your choice and pay a fee by the deadline.
- Freeze: If you are happy with the NLU and course offered, you can 'freeze' your seat. This means you accept the assigned seat and will not take part in further rounds of counselling.
- Float: If you accept the seat but wish to be considered for a better NLU or course in later rounds, you can 'float' your seat. Your current seat remains secure while you wait for other options.
- Withdraw: If you do not want the assigned seat or wish to exit the counselling process, you can 'withdraw'. This means you give up your seat.
To either freeze or float your seat, candidates must pay a non-refundable confirmation fee of INR 20,000 . Make sure to check the exact deadline for these actions on the official website.
