The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has released the Final Answer Key for CLAT 2026 . Students who appeared for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) can now check the final answers online. The official results for CLAT 2026 are expected to be announced on December 17, 2025 , before 10 AM.
CLAT is a national-level entrance exam for students who wish to join undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law courses in 25 National Law Universities across India. A total of 88,657 candidates appeared for the CLAT 2026 exam.

The CLAT 2026 Result will be released online as a scorecard. Follow these steps to download it:

Calculating Your CLAT 2026 Score
You can calculate your expected score using the following method:

For every correct answer, one mark is given. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks are cut. No marks are given or taken for questions you do not attempt.
CLAT 2026 Counselling Process
After the results, the Consortium will release the counselling schedule. Only students who register for counselling by the given deadline will be allowed to participate in the admission process for NLUs.
Tie-Breaker Rule for CLAT 2026
If two or more students score the same marks in CLAT 2026, the following rules will be used to decide their rank:
For CLAT UG (Undergraduate)
- Higher marks in the Legal Aptitude section of CLAT 2026.
- Older age.
- A computerised draw of lots.
For CLAT PG (Postgraduate)
- Older age.
- A computerised draw of lots.
NLUs Participating in CLAT 2026
CLAT 2026 scores are accepted by 25 National Law Universities for admission to UG law courses. There are a total of 3063 UG seats available (not including special category seats like NRI or supernumerary).
Some of the participating NLUs include National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, and National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal, among others.
