The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has opened registration for its SHINE 2026 digital assessment initiative. The program aims to track student learning patterns and identify conceptual gaps. Registration began on August 21, 2026 .
The SHINE 2026 assessment aligns with the National Education Policy 2020. It will evaluate students in Classes 4, 6, and 9 . The goal is to assess abilities without traditional exam pressure.
Students in Class 4 will undergo a game-based evaluation. Classes 6 and 9 will participate in digital assessments. These assessments measure core competencies for their respective grade levels. Class 6 evaluations will align with Class 5 curriculum. Class 9 assessments will align with Class 8 curriculum.
CISCE-affiliated schools must register students via the official CISCE website. The digital assessments will take place nationwide from November 15 to November 30, 2026 .
Registration Process for Schools
Schools need administrative credentials to access the CISCE portal at careers.cisce.org. Log in using the provided user ID and password. Navigate to the 'SHINE 2026 Digital Assessment Registration' option.
Schools must enter or upload student details for Classes 4, 6, and 9. This includes candidate, class, and section information. Validation of these details is required to prevent profile errors. Finalizing the registration generates a digital assessment ID for each student.
