The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) recently held its National Adolescent Summit 2025 in New Delhi. This event focused on improving student wellbeing and creating safe school environments. CBSE also announced the board exam dates for Class 10 and Class 12 for the year 2026.
CBSE National Adolescent Summit 2025: Key Focus
CBSE organized the National Adolescent Summit 2025 at its headquarters in New Delhi . The summit's main goal was to empower young people and ensure safe schools. It followed the ideas of the National Education Policy 2020 . The summit's theme was “Empowering Adolescents: Voices, Choices and Wellbeing” , with the tagline “Creating Safe Spaces for Every Teen.”
Discussions at the summit covered important topics for teenagers. These included mental health , being safe online (digital safety), understanding one's identity, being inclusive, healthy lifestyle habits, and future career paths. Many experts attended, such as psychologists, health specialists, counselors, and CBSE school principals.
Summit Highlights and Participation
The day-long program was full of interactive sessions. These included:
- An opening session
- Two main discussion sessions
- Three panel discussions
- A special segment for youth involvement
- A display of school counseling programs
Students also got a chance to share their talents through performances like:
- Street plays (Nukkad Natak)
- Poetry readings
- Mime acts
- Dance performances
- Musical shows
More than 800 people attended the summit. This included over 750 principals, vice-principals, counselors, and wellness teachers from Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and over 20 other states and union territories. There were also attendees from Muscat, Oman .

CBSE has released the exam dates for Class 10 and Class 12 board exams for 2026. Students should note these dates to prepare well.
Class 10 Exam Dates 2026
The Class 10 exams for 2026 will happen in two phases:
- Phase 1: From February 17 to March 10, 2026 .
- Phase 2: From May 15 to June 1, 2026 .
Class 12 Exam Dates 2026
The Class 12 exams for 2026 will run from February 17 to April 9, 2026 . All exams will be held in pen and paper mode.
