The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched a new, easy-to-use system for managing payments related to the Class 10 and Class 12 supplementary exams for 2025 . This new system is called the Integrated Payment System (IPS) . Its main goal is to make sure that everyone involved in these exams gets paid on time and without any problems.
Supplementary exams are important for students who could not pass one or two subjects in their main board exams. These exams give them another chance to qualify. For these exams to run smoothly, many teachers and staff members work hard. They conduct practical exams, supervise at centers, and check answer sheets. The IPS will now handle all payments for their efforts.
Why a New Payment System?
Before the IPS, managing payments for examiners and exam centers could sometimes be slow or complicated. CBSE wanted to make this process simpler and faster. By introducing the IPS, the board aims to:
- Ensure quick payment for all duties related to the supplementary exams.
- Reduce delays in financial transactions.
- Make the payment process clear and easy to follow.
- Avoid mistakes in sending money to the right people.
This new system is a step towards better and more efficient management of board examinations. It shows CBSE's commitment to supporting the teaching and administrative staff who play a key role in conducting these exams.
What Payments Does IPS Cover?
The Integrated Payment System will manage various types of payments for the 2025 Class 10 and Class 12 supplementary exams. These include:
- Practical Examination Fees: Payments for teachers who conduct practical exams.
- Examination Centre Duties: Payments for staff working at schools that serve as exam centers. This includes supervisors and other administrative staff.
- Spot Evaluation Work: Payments for teachers who evaluate (check) answer sheets immediately after the exams at designated centers.
- Marking Work: Payments for teachers who mark the answer sheets.
By covering all these areas, the IPS ensures that all financial aspects of the supplementary exams are handled centrally and effectively.
How the IPS Portal Works
CBSE has activated four special sections, known as modules, on the IPS portal. Each module is designed for a specific payment category:
| Module Name | Purpose |
| IPS Practical | For payments related to practical examinations. |
| IPS Centre Payment | For payments to examination centers and their staff. |
| IPS Spot Evaluation | For payments for spot evaluation duties. |
| IPS Marking Scheme | For payments for marking answer sheets. |
These modules make it easy for schools and officials to submit and track payment requests for different types of duties.
Important Instructions for Schools
Schools that are chosen to be examination centers have a key role in making the IPS work smoothly. CBSE has given the following clear instructions:
- Access the Portal: Schools must log in to the IPS portal as soon as possible.
- Data Entry: They must complete all required data entry without any delay. This includes information about examiners and other staff.
- Accurate Bank Details: It is very important to upload correct bank account details for everyone who needs to receive a payment. Even small mistakes can cause big problems.
- Principal's Verification: The school principal must personally check and verify all the entered details. This check must happen before the information is finally submitted on the portal.
CBSE has issued a strong warning: if bank information is incorrect, payments might go to the wrong person. Fixing such mistakes later can be very difficult and can cause long delays for the person waiting for their payment. Therefore, careful verification by principals is a must.
This new IPS is a positive change by CBSE, aiming to improve how supplementary exams are managed financially. It brings more transparency and speed to the payment process, benefiting all involved in conducting these important exams.
